Evolution 26 Yachts

This site has information about the Evolution 26, a Julian Everitt designed sailing yacht, built in the UK from 1979 until about 1983. I'm not too sure about the exact dates they were in production, or indeed where they were made when production stopped at Christchurch, so if you have any info on this I would be glad to hear from you. I'm sure they were exhibited at the London Boat Show in 1981. Julian Everitt also designed the E Boat
This site relates mainly to the Evolution 26, but there are other versions including the Evolution 19, 22, 24 and 25. I'll try to include a few photos. If you have any photos or info you would like to send me then I will be happy to include it on this site. I've included photos I've taken of Evolutions I've come across in my travels, so if I've included a picture of your boat and you would rather I removed it then just drop me a mail.
I live in Christchurch, Dorset UK, which is where the Evolutions were originally built. Mine is a fractional rigged version called "Wicked" which I cruise and race with Christchurch Sailing Club. The Evolution with it's lifting keel is particularly well suited to a shallow/drying harbour such as Christchurch. The Evolution is a fast boat, and is comparable in performance to the Ron Holland designed Super Seal 26 of the same era.
